Bread upma

bread upma


Do u know know we can make upma not only with suji but also with bread. This bread upma is very easy dish which you can prepare in just few minutes.




Ingredients

·         Bread slices around - 5 to 8
·         Oil - 2 tbsp
·         Mustard seeds - 2 tsp
·         Chopped onions - 1/2 cup
·         Curry leaves - 2
·         Chopped tomatoes - 1/2 cup
·         Chopped green chilies - 1 1/2 tbsp
·         Chopped ginger   -      1 tsp
·         Tomato sauce    -    1 1/2 tbsp
·         Lemon juice     -    1 tbsp
·         Chopped coriander  - 2 tbsp
·         Salt according to taste

Method


Take a bowl of water and dip the slices of bread, squeeze it and remove the excess water.  Keep it aside for few minutes.  Pour some oil in a pan and heat it. Now add mustard seeds, now add chopped onions and some curry leaves mix it well and fry for around two minutes. Add chopped tomatoes, chopped green chilies and chopped ginger and stir for around one minute.  Add tomato sauce, squeezed bread pieces, salt and coriander, mix it and cook for two minutes. Your bread upma is ready to eat.

Rava Ladoo




INGREDIENTS

  1. Rava -1 cup
  2. Ghee -2 tbsp
  3. Cashew nuts and raisins -1 cup
  4. Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  5. Powdered Sugar- 1/4
  6. Milk- 1/3 cup
  7. Cardamom powder -1 pinch

METHOD-


1.      Heat the pan and pour ghee and let it melt.
2.      Now add rasins and nuts.
3.      Add grated cardamom and coconut.
4.      Stir for few minutes.
5.      Now add rava.
6.      After few minutes add powdered sugar.
7.      Roast the rava till color changes to brown.
8.      Now off the flame and add some milk so that u can make balls.
9.      Lastly make ladoos.

PANEER MAKHANI

PANEER MAKHANI



Ingredients-

Paneer -250 gms
Fresh Cream-200 gms
Tomato Puree-200 gms
Butter-2-3 tblsp
Fenugreek leaves-2 tblsp
Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
Green Chillies-2-3
Salt

Method-

  •  Take a pan, add butter, add green chilies, fenugreek leaves, tomato puree, and red chilly powder, salt, and fry it for few minutes in simmer flame.
  • Now add cream and garam masala. Cook it for 5 minutes.
     
  •  Lastly add paneer cubes. As it is cooked, garnish it with coriander, grated paneer, and cream.



Blueberry pancake




INGREDIENTS

Refined flour-300 gm
Eggs- 3
Sugar -100 gm
Butter- 1 gm
Baking powder- 20 gm
Vanilla essence-few drops
Milk -300 ml
Blueberry compote -30 ml

METHOD

For the batter, mix flour, eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla essence, baking powder and butter together.

Pour a thick layer of the batter on a hot griddle.

Add blueberry compote on top and cook the pancake on both sides till done. Repeat for remaining batter.

Place on a plate; sprinkle some icing sugar on the top.

Serve with maple syrup and honey.

STRAWBERRY PAN CAKE


INGREDIENTS

  1. Refined flour- 300 gms
  2. Eggs- 4 ns
  3. Butter-100 gm
  4. Sugar-100 gm
  5. Baking powder 20 gm
  6. Vanilla essence – few drops
  7. Milk-400 ml
  8. Strawberries, sliced- 6
  9. Icing sugar- to garnish
 Method-

In a blender mix all the ingredients except the strawberries and icing sugar, and blend.

On a hot griddle, add some butter and pour a spoonful of the above batter and spread it.

 Place the strawberries slices on the top and cook the pancake on both sides.
Arrange it on a plate and sprinkle some icing sugar on the top.  Repeat for remaining batter.

Serve with maple syrup and honey.

PATTISHAPTA , A TRADITIONAL BENGALI CREPE

INGREDIENTS
-
  • Rice flour-200 gm
  • Coconut grated-150 gm
  • Sugar -50 gm
  • Cardamom powder- 5 gm
  • Ghee -50 ml
  • khoya -15gm
  • Water as required


Method

Heat a little ghee in a pan, add grated coconut, khoya and sugar, cook well till it form as a mixture and keep aside. 

Mix rice flour and water to prepare a batter for pouring consistency.

 In a non stick pan, add a dash of ghee, pour spoonful of batter and spread it. Make a thin crepe. Once cooked, flip on to a plate. 

Stuff the filling into the crepe and fold it. Repeat for remaining batter. 

Serve.

Yummy Affogato



Ingredients

  • Vanilla Ice-Cream1 scoop
  • Instant coffee powder- 1 tsp
  • Brandy-1 tsp
  • Sugar-1/2 tsp


For garnishing

  • Cinnamon powder-1/2 tsp


Way to make=

Put the vanilla ice-cream in a mug or coffee cup.  Take a pan and boil water in it, now add sugar and coffee and mix it well. Now turn is to add brandy.  Now pour the content on vanilla ice-cream. Garnish it with cinnamon powder. Now it’s ready to enjoy.
